Rule of Law Or Anarchy?
Gov. Arnold is still weighing Tookie's clemency. Meanwhile, there have been threats of violence and rioting if the convicted killer of four people is not granted Clemency.
Contrary to Mike Farrell and the Hollyweird Left, the evidence against Tookie is overwhelming. Even the uberliberal 9th district court of appeals refused his requests.
Of course, Tookie has reformed. He has had over 20 years to find himself, to write children books, to become a lecturer and guest via satellite at schools. He has been the subject of a film. Of course, the four victims could not be reached for comment.
Gov. Schwarzeneggar should not grant clemency. If he does, he will show the Hollyweird Left that they matter. He will validate those woh threaten violence. Oh, yeah, and Tookie was found guilty by a jury of his peers, not to mention that every appeal for the past two decades almost have turned him down.
But Tookie has changed....Really? Then why doesn't he express remorse? Why doesn't he himself come out and call for his violent supporters to stand down, no matter the outcome?
Tookie may have redeemed himself. He may have found God. Good for him. However, society judged him according to scoiety's laws. He was found guilty and has had his appeals. Sentence needs to be carried out.
Just as likely, Tookie could be another Jack Abbott, the murderer who was championed by Norman Mailer with the call "culture is worth the risk," who was granted mercy and killed again. Hollywood libs are notorious for being wrong on these issues, but they don't seem to learn the lesson. Instead, it appears that radical chic is still alive and well.
The governor must not kowtow to these ruffians who threaten violence. If he does, we lose the rule of law and are given over to mob rule, aka Anarchy.
