This is a very interesting story...Nazi Germany built an aircraft carrier but it never saw service. The Graf Zepplin was scuttled in shallow water by her German masters but was recovered by the Russians. The Russians towed it to a spot where they could use the ship as target practice for their dive bombers. Some say that the Russians did this anticipating action against U.S. carriers.
The Russians have never revealed the location of the sunken Nazi carrier, but Polish divers doing oil exploration found her.
