Israel Update

AP NEws Alert:
KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia (AP) Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said Friday she will return to the Middle East to work with others on bringing an end to the Israeli-Hezbollah fighting, but did not say when.
The fighting shouldn't end until Hezbollah has been destroyed.

BEIRUT, Lebanon (AP) A spokesman says unarmed U.N. observers have been removed from posts along the Israeli-Lebanese border.
They should never have been there in the first place...

10:30AM UPDATE: AP News Alert:
BEIRUT, Lebanon (AP) Hezbollah has said it fired a new rocket, called the Khaibar-1, striking near the Israeli town of Afoula, south of Haifa.
Oh...great...escalation...who didn't see that coming. Anybody want to place bets that the origin of this rocket is Iranian?

WASHINGTON (AP) President Bush says he and British Prime Minister Tony Blair agree that a multinational force must be dispatched quickly to the Mideast and that Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is returning to the region this weekend.
The only way this works is if it is an armed force and they draw a neutral zone that is enforced by arms. Good luck getting Europe and the UN to agree to that...
