VPOTUS is in Town

VPOTUS Dick Cheney is in town today for a fundraiser for Rep. Steve Chabot. He'll be on the West side of town at the home of Dennis and Patricia Ott in Green Township.

While Chabot is raising money, his opponent is pandering to voters at a gas station where his campaign picked up the difference between the $2.69/gallon that gas currently costs and the $1.26/gallon that gas cost in August of 2001 when Chabot voted for an energy plan that Cheney worked on. Assuming inflation goes at about 4% a year, gas should have cost about $1.50 this year, but we've had a number of significant world events that has effected the price of oil since August of 2001. Perhaps John Cranley has heard of some of them: 9/11, the Afghanistan War, the Iraq War, hurricanes, a corporate imposed shutdown of a pipeline, etc., etc. etc.

Politics is politics...
