Remember that courageous whistle blower, Joe Wilson, and his daring spy wife, Valerie Plame? Remember how the media fawned over their courage and sacrifice? Well, Joe Wilson is nothing more than a punk ass wimp, it appears, not willing to perjure himself any further. Remember, he already has lied to Congress and changed his testimony regarding Niger several times. Remember, even that haok 9/11 Commission said Wilson's trip confirmed (rather than repudiated) our beliefs and the Brits report about Yellowcake and Terror. Former ambassador Joseph Wilson asked a federal judge Wednesday not to force him to testify in the CIA leak case and accused former White House aide I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby of trying to harass him on the witness stand.
Libby, who faces perjury and obstruction charges, subpoenaed Wilson as a defense witness this month. Libby's attorney, William Jeffress, said in court Tuesday that was a precautionary move and he did not expect to put Wilson on the stand.
Libby is accused of lying to investigators about his conversations with reporters regarding Wilson's wife, outed CIA operative Valerie Plame. Plame and Wilson have sued Libby and other Bush administration officials, accusing them of plotting to leak Plame's identity as retribution for Wilson's criticism of prewar intelligence on Iraq.
"Mr. Libby should not be permitted to compel Mr. Wilson's testimony at trial either for the purpose of harassing Mr. Wilson or to gain an advantage in the civil case," Wilson's attorneys wrote.
While Wilson and Plame are at the center of the CIA leak scandal, Wilson is a minor figure in Libby's perjury trial. U.S. District Judge Reggie B. Walton has sought to keep much of the back story of the leak out of the case.
Remember how Wilson was the one to start this, and he talked about how cowardly Bush and Cheney supposedly were trying to get to him through "outing" his wife? Well, Joe, Cheney is man enough to testify. What are you doing? Hiding behind your empty suit lawyer. What a coward! Joe, you better check to see if Val is cheating, because she obviously can't be satisfied with a wuss like you unless she's um....playing for the other team.
And, let's remember...Libby is not even charged with leaking the info. What he is charged with is mixing up his stories about the conversations. In other words, good ol Prosecutor's prosecutor Pat Fitzgerald could find no evidence, I repeat, no evidence, of wrongdoing in regards to a leak....however, he did catch Mr. Libby mixing up some things, so, BINGO! This guy has to fry! Meanwhile, a guy who lied to America in an op-ed, and lied before Congress, Joe Wilson, is not only running free, but he is getting book deals, suing the President, and asking not to testify? And Sandy Bergler is running around free after stealing from the Archives and altering documents, destroying some? Where is the justice?
And another thing, note what it says about the judge in this case, how he doesn't want the "backstory" of the leak investigation being part of the trial. Um, hello, judge, the bungling and bogus leak investigation is at the heart of the trial. Pat Fitzgerald is nothing more than a higher up Mike Nifong. Yes, Mike Nifong, the idiot who has ruined several young men's lives on spectral evidence, from a woman who had several men's semen in her britches, but none of the Duke players. Mike Nifong and Fitzgerald represent what is wrong with the system. That idiot who has persecuted Rush Limbaugh in Florida represents what is wrong with the system. Where is the justice?
Wilson, you are a cowardly slime who doesn't know the definition of honor or truth.
Ms. Plame, you are a shoddy woman for being married to such a scumball.
Mr. Fitzgerald, you are a sad little pawn who rather than doing the right thing, did the legal thing.
Mr. Nifong, you are nothing more than a hack who delights in the misery of others you despise and you are jealous of.
