ONN's Julie Carr Smyth tries real hard to make it sound as if Democrats won every race in Ohio in November by labeling this latest session of the Ohio General Assembly as a "lame duck" session. There is nothing lame duck about Harris or Husted, both will be staying on in their respective positions of power in the legislature. But don't let bias get in the way of ignoring the real story...Democrats are now opposing reforms they once supported. And if this has a familiar ring to it, it should...Ohio Democrats have been doing this for quite some time (take redistricting, for instance). The only people experiencing a lame duck session are Bob Taft, Betty Montgomery, Jim Petro, and Ken Blackwell...it sure isn't the Republicans in the legislature.
