I'm not surprised by the revelations contained in this ABC News piece. The money in politics has gotten so bad that things like this are bound to come up. The question is what will the NRCC do about it. Of course, you can already tell from the comments at that piece that the liberals are going to get out the same brush that they used to paint a "Culture of Corruption" as being a Republican-only thing...
But all of this goes back to a philosophy I have about Republican politics and that is that if you are going to be the party that takes the high road, you'd better make sure that the road is clean... Perception is everything in politics and image is the currency that all politicians must have in abundance. Republicans have done a fine job shooting themselves...and I can't say that I have been overly convinced that the nonsense will no longer be tolerated.
Let this serve as yet another reminder to our friends in the RNC, NRCC, NRSC, and the Ohio GOP... We are better than this...
