But Don't Question Their Patriotism in Westlake, OH

This is ONN:
The owner of a Chevrolet dealership wants to raise a huge flag above his 9 acre property, but the plan doesn't fly with the city, ONN affiliate WEWS reported.

"I never thought I would have to fight anyone to put an American flag up. I never in my wildest dreams," said dealership owner Pat O'Brien.

O'Brien wants to show his patriotism in a big way by flying a 600-square-foot flag on an 80-foot flag pole in an area behind his dealership.

He thinks the flag would grab the attention of drivers along Interstate 90.

"And, I want everyone that passes on 90, it's not going to sell me any more cars, but maybe they might think of how lucky they are to be in this country," O'Brien said.

But this week, Westlake's zoning board turned down O'Brien's request.
You can get the bureaucrat's side of the story at the link...

I continue to be amazed at stories like this one... Whatever happened to the pride in our country? And where does any government get off regulating what size of flag and pole can be put up?
