Charlize Theron: US as Bad as Cuba?

Charlize Theron, native South African, in an interview with CNN's Rick "Dirty" Sanchez, likened Cuban human rights abuses to the United States. And how would the "Monster" star know? She's been filming a documentary about gangsta rappers in Cuba. Oh the humanity! They have to get permission from the government for their lyrics. Egads! Oh my! Forget discussing the political prisoners still rotting from the 1950s and 1960s. Forget about those who are jailed and tortured for speaking out about Cuba! She talks about wanting to tell a human story, about wanting to talk about human rights...she could have made a documentary on the islamists desecration and torture of women, on the forced burka-ization. Nope, we have to discover Gangsta rap in Cuba. And when Sanchez, a Cuban American, discusses comparing US and Cuba, she says we are just as bad.

Now, if a conservative actor would have said this, Sanchez would be all over it. However, instead, he allowed her to continue on. Look at this ignorant airheaded sex symbol and laugh. If we are as bad as Cuba, why do refugees come here? And her example of people losing their job because of Iraq? She is referring to Dan Rather and Mary Mapes. No, ignorant one, they lost their jobs for journalistic malfeasance, not being opposed to the war.

And, when cornered, she thinks a sexual favor will fix everything. Tell me Charlize, growing up in apartheid riddled South Africa, did you ever speak out against that inhumanity? Did you set free your indentured black servants? Hmm? Here is the youtube video. Check out another celebrity who doesn't need to shut up and sing, they just need to shut up.

Don't dare question her patriotism! Don't dare question it! So what if in Cuba all she did was enjoy communist protection, and was allowed to follow a few dissidents? So what if she came from such an oppressive state? I mean, she is a celebrity! They know everything! They are experts on all things, and if you disagree with them strong enough, they will offer sex! Isn't that a good message to send to girls? If all else fails, offer sex. Don't stand on principle, dont defend your position, question the interviewer, change the subject. Gee, maybe I might be able to bed an emptyheaded celeb. Get me the first plane to Hollywood!

Yes, why do we think you live here? For the money, for the freedom. And yet you routinely bash our nation. Go back to South Africa, or better yet, go to Cuba and talk about the human rights abuses and see how long you last. You are an ignorant fool, and it is a shame that people watch your movies. I, for one, will no longer patronize your films. I am not calling for a boycott, but just once, wouldn't it be nice if one of these reporters, who love to belittle Republicans, took off the gloves with emptyheaded liberal celebs? Shame on Ms. Theron and Shame on Mr. Sanchez for letting her get by with it.

Further Information
Larry Elder posits that Ms. Theron is right about rights being trampled in the US, but those rights are being trampled upon by liberals. Check out the article, a good read.
