One House Democrat admitted to the Politico today something most Americans already know: Hollywood liberals want America to abandon Iraq to al Qaeda:In other breaking news today: the Earth is not flat; the sun is hot; grass is green; snow is cold; and deep space is dark..."'I have instructions from my constituents to get us out of Iraq now,'' said Rep. Diane E. Watson, (D-Calif.). 'I have the Hollywood community...Not a day goes by that I'm not contacted to get out of Iraq now.'"Hoping to appease Hollywood liberals and legislators like Rep. Watson who answer to them, Democratic Leaders have endorsed the "slow-bleed" doctrine - "a way to complicate the war and make it inherently unwinnable." This strategy would attach restrictions and timetables for retreat to a troop funding bill, choking off the resources American troops need to succeed and forcing the United States to abandon Iraq to al Qaeda.
...but it is finally nice to have a US Congressman reporting the view of her Hollywood friends...
