What will happen to Iraq ? I asked Pelosi's office. Spokesman Drew Hammill answered that Pelosi wants to see Iraq change its constitution and its ways. "What we hope is, that with these series of things, we don't have to worry about that. We hope that Iraq will become a peaceful democratic country."When conservative voices told the American people that the Democrats had no plans and no ideas, the American people should have listened...we were right...again.
When I asked the office of Sen. Dianne Feinstein what she believed would happen in Iraq , should the Senate measure prevail, her office e-mailed this quote: " Iraq is in chaos today. By setting a goal for redeployment, the Democratic plan says to the Iraqi government that you've got to make the political accommodations necessary. This, in my view, is the best chance for stability in Iraq ." Call the Democratic plan "cross your fingers."

Yes, lie after lie after lie. 12 months of lies which led us to this disastrous turn. Am I talking about President Bush? No, I am talking about the lies flowing from the mouths of people like Rahm Emmanuel, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Jim Webb, Heath Shuler, and the rest of the so-called moderate majority.
In just a few weeks, these people have backtracked on everything. They said they would not precipitously set dates for pullouts (except in their code pink and move on rallies...why didn't America hear that?), but here we are. They said they would help move the economy forward, but they are going to grind it to a halt with these tax hikes. We in the conservative movement knew this was coming. We tried to warn you. But, you believed the kooks and the snake oil salesmen, and what have you gotten? A policy destined to return us to America 1979, not America 2079.
