Man, it took the Republican Congress 12 years to become a "culture of corruption." It has taken the Democrat majority 3 months. One of the big talking points during the last election cycle focused on how Republicans used pork to get votes, how they used pork to get campaign donations, etc., and how they politicized votes. Gee, what do we see with the heinous 218-212 vote to notify terrorists when they can begin moving in? We see Nancy Pelosi, not as the reformer she said she was going to be, but rather as Don Carlieone, Tony Soprano with Botox, a godfather type. Chuck the Schmuck Shumer used that analogy to discuss the notion of not having White House aides testify before Congress, but if he wants to see real corruption, look to the Lefty Kook with the plastic face from San Francisco. In just three months, the Dems have broken promise after promise, and have shown themselves to be concerned only with power and reelection and using money to influence people. From the

Pelosi, and her leadership team spent days trying to convince members that the bill was Congress’ best chance of forcing Bush to change course—an argument that was aided when they added more than $20 billion in domestic spending in an effort to lure votes.
“Approval of it means we vote to abandon Iraq at an arbitrary time no matter the situation, said Republican Rep. Ted Poe. It’s also “loaded with squealing pork that has nothing to do with our troops or the war,” added Poe, R-Texas, referring to the billions of dollars added to the bill to fund domestic programs and attract votes.
Not only are the Democrats taking ownership of our defeat, they are also taking ownership of the culture of corruption, and in new record time.
