Reactions to Dem Plan to Import Terrorists to American Soil

In the days following September 11th, who would have imagined Congressional Democrats suggesting America willfully bring known terrorists into our communities? Well - just a few short years after the worst terrorist attack on our soil - it's happening. According to a report by the Politico, Democrats "are contemplating the relocation of many of the 385 or so remaining terrorist suspects to military brigs along the East Coast -- including Quantico, Va., and Charleston , S.C. " Rep. Jim Moran (D-VA), the Democrat spear-heading the effort, is quoted in the article saying:

"'It will enhance our reputation..."

House Democrats have argued in favor of giving foreign terrorists the same rights as American citizens in the past - but this is the first we've heard of Democrats actually advocating bringing known terrorists into our communities. House Republican Conference Chairman Adam Putnam (R-FL) responded to Democrats' latest scheme to shower terrorists with the same rights as American citizens:

"It is deeply troubling that Democrat lawmakers are even entertaining the bizarre idea of importing some of the world's most dangerous terrorists to the United States.

"By transplanting international terrorists and the mastermind of the 9/11 attacks stateside, this reckless and alarming Democrat plan undermines the hard work of our law enforcement and intelligence communities."

House Republican Chief Deputy Whip Eric Cantor (R-VA) decried Democrats' "shocking lock of judgment":

"I have no idea why Democrats lead by Speaker Pelosi and Jack Murtha would want to import known terrorist organizers into America . Virginians neither want nor need hundreds of terrorists with connections to 9/11 groups like Al Qaeda in our Commonwealth.

"This shocking lack of judgment demonstrates that liberal Democrats do not understand that these terrorists want to kill Americans and destroy our way of life. These dangerous, terrible people should not be allowed into our country."

If Democrats seriously want to import known terrorists - captured in the field of battle against American troops - perhaps we can set them up with a nice sunny spot in San Francisco?
