Generally speaking, I think Kristol has some good points... (The bit on Mitch McConnell is right on target.)
But...
Your average Republican has recovered from the '06 election cycle; the grassroots activists, on the other hand, have not. However, if Democrats were expecting a demoralized GOP to kick around for awhile, they will be sorely disappointed.
