Congressman John Boehner (R-West Chester) issued the following statement calling on Democrats to send the war supplemental bill to the President for his prompt veto today:“If Democrats are truly interested in forward progress and not just partisan gamesmanship, they will send this measure to the President for his prompt veto today so Congress can get back to the business of funding American troops without strings and without billions in additional Washington spending. To delay this veto is to delay the funding of our men and women fighting in harm’s way, and a methodical continuation of the Democrats’ slow-bleed strategy for surrender.”
