Iraqi Government Condemns Surrender Date Bill Passage

AP News Alert:
BAGHDAD (AP) The Iraqi government spokesman has criticized the Senate vote to begin withdrawing U.S. troops by Oct. 1.
Of course, all of this nonsense has been a waste of time because the President will veto this bill and there are not enough votes to overturn it. If Democrats are serious about supporting the troops, they will have to put together a clean bill with no artificial timetables for withdrawal. If the Democrats are not serious about supporting the troops, the American people will see the Democrats for who they really are: primary members of the Blame America First club willing to allow al Qaeda a victory on the central front in the Global War on Terror.
