Taxin' Ted CAIRs

I wanted to wait until BizzyBlog got his post up before writing on this subject which was all the rage on the Alliance email list last night...especially since it was one of his contacts that brought the story to our attention.

At a time when we are at war with Islamofascism, our governor is making nice-nice with an organization with ties to terrorism. Yeah, I said it...the Council on American-Islamic Relations has ties to terrorist organizations, specifically Hamas, but other organizations as well:
Since its founding in 1994, the Council on American-Islamic Relations and its employees have combined, conspired, and agreed with third parties, including, but not limited to, the Islamic Association for Palestine (“IAP”), the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development (“HLF”), the Global Relief Foundation (“GRF”), and foreign nationals hostile to the interests of the United States, to provide material support to known terrorist organizations, to advance the Hamas agenda, and to propagate radical Islam. The Council on American Islamic Relations, and certain of its officers, directors, and employees, have acted in support of, and in furtherance of, this conspiracy.
This is who the governor of our great state has chosen to honor with his presence. About this "great" organization, Governor Strickland says this:
"On behalf of all Ohioans, [my wife and I] appreciate your vision to promote justice and mutual understanding. We gather under CAIR-Ohio's theme this year 'American Muslims: Connecting and Sharing' to do just that, to connect and share and get to know each other better."
Perhaps the governor didn't know who he was meeting with...

CAIR's vision to promote justice and mutual understanding is to establish a Caliphate right here in America. Governor, these people want you to submit to Islam or die. The third choice is living in dhimmitude as a third class citizen. Notice that their theme is exclusive to Muslims... CAIR does not care if Americans connect and/or share anything.

I respectfully demand that you withdraw your proclamation "on behalf of all Ohioans" becaus this Ohioan stands for American values like freedom and liberty, not Islamofascism.

UPDATE: Apparently there were 300 people at this schindig...which represents nearly 20% of CAIRs total membership...

UPDATE 2: RightAngleBlog digs up a rather curious vote of "present" on the part of Congressman Ted Strickland (at the end of the post). I agree, Taxin' Ted has some explaining to do about where he stands on the issue of terrorism and Islamofascism.

UPDATE 3: Central Ohio Against Terrorism:
You don't speak for all Ohioans in your praise of CAIR-OH, Gov. Strickland. Many Muslims and non-Muslims alike are concerned about CAIR-OH's extremist agenda, and you do nothing but buttress the public credibility of an organization whose sole purpose is to incite ethnic and religious hatred and create barriers to "promote justice and mutual understanding" between Muslims and non-Muslims. When you praise CAIR-OH, Governor, it is not in our name.
Exactly...
