Clermont County GOP Deadlocked on County Commissioner

This Community Press story has the details, but the meat of the story is that there are two candidates to replace corrupt Mary Walker and they split the vote.
Miami Township Trustee Ed Humphrey received 65 votes in the final round of votes and Batavia Township Trustee Archie Wilson received 62 votes.
Mary sent a letter to the Central Committee asking that they not endorse for this race, but only 15% of the 151 who voted not to endorse anybody in the race. So much for influence from the corrupt commissioner...

Oh yeah, she plans to run too...
In a letter dated Nov. 19 and signed by Mary C. Walker, she said a "confidential and by my understanding very limited investigation into my service as a member of the Clermont County Commission has been disclosed. This has caused apparent discord among members of the Clermont County Republican Party. As a result, while I do intend to run for re-election, I am asking for your support to not endorse in the commissioner's term commencing Jan. 2, 2008."

"One of the most sacred constitutional principals we enjoy as United States citizens is the presumption that a person is innocent until proven otherwise and I ask that my fellow Republicans and others honor this presumption in my case," Walker wrote. "I have been advised to not comment further ... "
Corruption must not be tolerated...
