Around The District
It's been an exciting couple weeks for the Moll for Congress campaign. Jeanette has been busy traveling all over the district for fundraisers, meetings and filing her petitions.
On December 5th, the Muskingum County Republican Party endorsed Jeanette. This is a big endorsement from the second largest whole county in the entire district. Jeanette won overwhelmingly on the first ballot.
Muskingum County Chair Pat Hennessey said Jeanette earned the endorsement with hard work:
"Jeanette has been campaigning for months and I believe the results are clear. Her organization is strong, she continues to raise money, and her conservative message is resonating with voters."
Jeanette filed her petitions this week, making her run official. Here's what she said about the campaign:
"Trust issues abound in Washington despite promises made by Zack Space. His recent trip to Greece is just another example of a politician saying one thing while doing the opposite. The people of the 18th District have been stung by scandal after scandal and it's time to give them strong, conservative, ethical leadership."
Volunteer Opportunities
Jeanette needs your help!
We are entering a stage of the campaign where we will need your help on various activities. Starting the first week of January we'll need your help on two projects.
1. Phone calls. We will start making phone calls out of our Zanesville headquarters. We'll have eight phones and we'll be make calls as often as we have volunteers. Please consider giving a night or two in January to come to Zanesville and help out with this effort.
2. Literature. We will have more literature to hand out in January. Will you take some postcards and mail them to your friends, or take it door to door in your neighborhood? With your help we can deliver lit throughout the district.
Contact Peggy Hayden at peggy@MollForCongress.org to volunteer or to ask questions.

Why Support Jeanette?
Over the course of the campaign, we will use this space to highlight an issue of particular importance.
Immigration is an issue important to many residents of the 18th Congressional district, and one that hits especially close to home, even here in Ohio far from the broken border of Mexico.
Did you know the census taken each ten years counts population, not residents. Illegal immigrants are included. The census, in turn, determines many things including congressional districts. In 2010, Ohio is slated to lose two members of congress while states like California, Texas and Arizona - rich in illegal immigrants - gain seats.
We must act now to stop illegal immigration. We must enforce our laws and secure our borders. That means no amnesty for illegal immigrants already here.
