Release: "Schmidt First to Airwaves in GOP Primary"

Cincinnati, Ohio -- The campaign of Congresswoman Jean Schmidt today became the first to take to the airwaves in the coming GOP Primary. Schmidt’s campaign today unveiled a new radio ad that is now airing throughout the District.

“With a comfortable lead, we begin our advertising campaign today to reinforce our message of conservative values coupled with a record of accomplishment. With six weeks to go before the election, Congresswoman Schmidt couldn’t be more pleased at where we stand but she has instructed us to run a campaign like we were behind,” Bruce Pfaff, Campaign Spokesman said.

The Schmidt Campaign yesterday released polling numbers revealing Schmidt holds a massive lead over her opponents. With a 21 point advantage going into the final six weeks, the campaign is quite confident but focused on running a campaign as if they were behind.

“Jean Schmidt has rejected hundreds of billions in new taxes proposed by Speaker Pelosi and the Democrats. She was recently rated the fourth most conservative woman in the House. She has a proud record of achievement and we intend to tell it,” Pfaff added. Schmidt has been endorsed by the GOP Parties in Scioto, Brown, Adams, and Clermont. Hamilton County GOP plans their endorsement tomorrow evening.
