Butler County Commission: 'A Childish Ploy' and ' A Little Truth'

Another Letter to the Editor worth reprinting here:
There obviously is not enough work to keep our county auditor busy for her to be spending so much time trying to prove that Chuck Furmon had off-the-clock meetings in a government office years ago. Does anyone really care?

... Aren't there more important issues for our elected officials to be addressing? How stupid does she think the taxpayers of Butler County are by thinking we aren't seeing that she is blatantly campaigning for Chuck Furmon's opponent by making a big deal out of such a trivial matter?

And oh, yes, I think Robin Piper definitely has enough to do without being bothered with childish political ploys.

I suspect that there are more than a few people in Butler County who feel as Andrea does...we'll see in 11 days...

Here is one...
I have been inspired and impressed by the political process that we have been witnessing on the federal level, but dismayed by the witnessing of the county shenanigans. ... The (phrase) "the pot calling the kettle black" comes to mind with Kay Rogers bringing claims against Chuck Furmon.

I will give Kay credit for being a true politician — she is almost as good as Bill Clinton ...Well, (it's) time for a little truth.

Chuck Furmon has been forthcoming about the claims and that there was no cost incurred to the county; and if there were — shame on Kay for not being aware of this for years. Truth is Chuck Furmon is a very good county commissioner, who has done well for this county. Truth is Chuck Furmon has brought quality character and charisma to the county commission seat. Chuck Furmon has served this area with dignity for years, unlike his opponent in this campaign.

Truth is Chuck, unlike his opponent, does not have run-ins with the law, as Chuck served the law ...

... Chuck Furmon is guilty of one thing — Chuck is a quiet man ... A quiet man who gets things done. Truth is, if you want good quality and character representing Butler County, you want Chuck Furmon.

I think there is going to be some blowback on Kay Rogers when this is all over...
