The Butler County Republican Party is saddened and disappointed in today’s revelations involving Butler County Auditor Kay Rogers. An honorable position to take, Tom.
Though Auditor Rogers is in her fourth term, having been reelected by the voters of Butler County in 2006, the Butler County Republican Party respects and supports the findings and conserted efforts of the U. S. Justice Department in its investigation of this very serious matter.
We fully acknowledge the serious ramifications of the actions of the County Auditor.
We reaffirm to the public our Party’s commitment at all levels of government and particularly at the county level for a government above reproach. We must continue to strive to fulfill our responsibility in providing quality candidates for consideration by the voters of Butler County.
All elected public officials of both parties must be ever ethically vigilant in any and all activities so as not to jeopardize the public’s trust.
The Butler County Republican Party is the political franchise platform of many outstanding and honorable elected officials; despite this current issue, that long tradition continues today, The Butler County Republican Party expects nothing less.
