Two items hit the email box on this subject and I wanted to pass them along. The first comes from Michael Steel:
Right at 10 AM, we expect Rep. Boehner to give a one-minute on the floor on the gas prices. As you know, our Republican team has done a great job on the floor over the past several weeks highlighting this issue. Last week alone, 23 House Republicans gave one minutes on gas prices. Democrats are on the defensive, and we’re not going to let them up off the mat. As evidence of that, I’d note that a freshman Democrat Joe Donnelly announced today that he will join Republicans in supporting increased American energy. Obviously, we welcome his support and hope he talks to his colleagues about the importance of a balanced, “all of the above” energy strategy that includes conservation, renewables, expanded nuclear power, and increased American energy. Also, today Democrats on the Interior Appropriations subcommittee will face a vote on expanding deepwater energy exploration when Rep. Peterson offers his amendment. At a time when the Chinese are drilling 60 miles off our coast, it will be tough for Democrats to explain why they won’t let Americans do the same. I’d also like to note that we’ll be rolling out our economic agenda later this morning. This innovative reform agenda recognizes that at a time when American families are being squeezed by rising costs – especially the skyrocketing cost of gasoline – the last thing they need is a massive tax increase to pay for wasteful Washington spending.
And the second comes from the folks at Newt Gingrich's American Solutions group:
Saw your post [Link] on the GOP energy plan to help lower energy prices. Wanted to let you know that we’ve launched a petition drive that in just 3 weeks has seen over 500,000 Americans sign on.

This issue isn't going away and the House Republicans have done a heckuva job keeping the Democrats on the ropes. We need the knockout punch...
