The Ohio Democrat Plan

It seems all to clear to me now. Their plan is and was ingenious really. Make over-the-top assertions about Tom Noe, Bob Taft, and Bob Ney (all of whom deserve the threatment they got). Win Columbus on empty promises. And then wait it out...

And Republicans start dropping like flies. When they aren't tired of the fight and wanting to run home to their mommies, they are hugging the governor. So T-Shirt Ted takes a look at the landscape and realizes that he doesn't have enough Republicans at his trough to finish the job, so he hires a few...

Idiots.

Just when things started to look like we might turn things around and hang on to the legislature, two traitors decide to grab that fat cash from T-Shirt Ted.

For the record, the names of the two turncoats are Jim Raussen and Bob Spada.

Here is the tepid response from the Ohio Republican Party's brightest lights...
House GOP leaders are not pleased by the governor's sudden generosity toward Republican legislators.

"There should be no mistake by anybody that the governor is very much playing politics here, and in the case of Jim Raussen, he's doing it at taxpayer expense," said Rep. Matthew J. Dolan, R-Novelty, the chairman of the House Republican Campaign Committee.

"All along, I've said our candidates and officeholders have more experience and better reflect what Ohio wants, and, apparently, the governor feels the same because he's picking all the Republicans."

State Rep. Kevin DeWine, deputy Ohio Republican chairman, said in a statement: "This is unfortunately just the latest example of the governor's willingness to put politics ahead of his job. If he was this creative about generating some nongovernment employment in Ohio, maybe he could deliver on his promise to turn around our economy."
Raussen really ticks me off because T-Shirt Ted had to create a position in order to lure him away...

Well played, Governor...but once we clear out the rot, we'll be coming for you...and your little Redfern too...
