RELEASE: Space Deciding Vote to Adjourn for August

Space Chooses to Leave Washington without Passing Meaningful Energy Policy

Rep. Zack Space (D-Dover) today voted with his liberal leadership for a five-week vacation instead of staying in Washington to pass legislation that will help lower soaring gas prices. Liberal Democrats barely won the vote on a resolution to adjourn (H.Con.Res 398) with a final vote of 213-212; 17 Democrats joined with House Republicans to continue working on behalf of the America people.

Dailey for Congress Campaign Manager Sean Bartley issued the following statement:

"Zack Space today showed his true colors by voting with his liberal leadership instead of in the best interests of the 18th Congressional District. In voting to leave town for five weeks, Space has made clear that he is more beholden to Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Sen. Barack Obama than committed to lowering our rising energy costs here at home. The 18th Congressional District deserves a representative who will put them first."
