The Cincinnati Enquirer has an update, of sorts, on the race to replace
Republicans screened three candidates Wednesday:Out of these options, I must admit a certain affinity for Andrew Ciafardini...
Vicky Zwissler, former Wyoming City Council member who lost a bid for re-election last year;
Stiney Vonderhaar, Evendale village council member since 2000 and a retired Evendale police officer;
Andrew Ciafardini, of Montgomery, a special assistant to the president in the Bush White House and now chief of former Congressman Rob Portman's political action committee.
In addition to [Former state Senate Majority Leader Dick] Finan and [Blue Ash councilman Rick] Bryan, Tom Weidman, a Sycamore Township trustee, sent out a letter saying he's not interested. But county Republicans are not ruling any of them out - yet.
