I've got a number of items to deliver on energy issues, so let's get right to them...
About That EIA Report
Tire Inflation
I don't mind a President or Senator Obama saying, "hey, Americans, go check to make sure your tires are properly inflated"; the problem is when he says, "we don't need offshore drilling (or any other idea) because we have this other idea."Again, the problem with the Obama plan is that he thinks that tire inflation will replace increased oil production. As I recall, tire inflation would increase gas mileage efficiency by about 3%...which is worth doing, but saying that inflating your tires will save people as much money as if we had more oil in the supply is just not serious. "All of the Above", I say, including the tire inflation...
Pelosi's Questions

"Cutting bureaucratic red tape to increase refinery capacity is critical, both for solving the energy crisis and creating more American jobs. An expansion here at Yorktown Refinery would mean more jobs in the First District and lower gas prices," said Wittman. The point here is that we really are talking about an "All of the Above" solution...drilling alone won't solve the problem...
"We haven't built a refinery in the US in over three decades. It's a common sense solution and it needs to be part of a comprehensive energy policy that includes domestic energy production, alternative and renewable energy, and conservation," said Wittman.
