U.S. Sen George Voinovich introduced Ms. Palin to supporters in Lakewood this morning, calling her “tough,” “compassionate,” and “understanding.”Voinovich has been behind the scenes during this campaign and this was a big opportunity for him to be seen by a large number of Republicans.
“She understands the problems and stresses of ordinary Americans,” said Mr. Voinovich, a former Ohio governor and Cleveland mayor, adding Ms. Palin “has the guts to make sure the ordinary Americans are heard in the white house. It’s about time.”
“At a time when a lot of families are struggling, it is comforting to have a mother of five in the White House.”
