Ohio Taxpayer Attitudes Survey

Americans for Prosperity recently conducted a survey of taxpayer attitudes in Ohio and I thought you all might be interested to know some of the results;

  • 55 percent of Ohio residents believe the state’s taxes are too high, 60 percent disapprove of the way the state legislature handles budget and tax issues and 47 percent believed it was important to target wasteful spending on programs that do not work.

  • About the governor's 'No-Tax' budget, 62 percent of Ohioans said they distrust government to spend new money wisely.

  • Lower-income residents also oppose higher taxes with over 55 percent rejecting the idea of raising taxes on others.

  • 89 percent of respondents opposed taxes on the working poor and lower income groups.
