Another Well-Vetted Strickland Staffer

Say you are looking for a guy who's job it will be to seek tougher DUI laws. Who better than a guy with a history of alcohol-related arrests, right? If you are Ted Strickland, the answer is "Yes We Can!".

The Columbus Dispatch has the details about John Lang here. Lang has resigned as the state's lobbyist for the Ohio Department of Public Safety after an incident at the Memorial Tournament. Johnny Boy got boozed up and scuffled with police officers and managed to get himself charged with persistent disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

He has three prior DUI-related arrests the most recent having occurred on February 9th.

Good job, T-Shirt Ted...you sure know how to pick 'em!

UPDATE: Just re-reading the Dispatch story. Here is my favorite part:
Public Safety spokesman Thomas Hunter said Lang, who spent the night in jail, resigned yesterday morning from his $64,688-a-year job. Officials were researching records to determine whether a background check was conducted prior to Lang's hiring.
