The "That's Unacceptable" Update of the Day

Previously on WMD, we highlighted yet another well-vetted Strickland staffer and we were left with the question of whether or not this fine upstanding citizen had received a background check. Over at The Daily Briefing, the Columbus Dispatch folks finally have the answer: No.
The Ohio Department of Public Safety requires background checks on all potential employees, whether state troopers or secretaries. But at least one now former employee - legislative lobbyist John W. Lang Jr. - escaped the mandatory examination of his background due to what DPS officials call an “oversight.”
It was an oversight.

Which intern made that decision?
