OH-18: United States Chamber of Commerce Endorses Gibbs for Congress

Release:
Lakeville, OH - Bob Gibbs announced today that he has received the endorsement of the United States Chamber of Commerce, the world’s largest business federation representing the interests of more than three million businesses and organizations of every size, sector, and region.
"It is the Chamber’s goal to help elect a pro-business Congress and work diligently in the interests of businesses large and small to advance legislation that encourages economic growth, job creation, and a less intrusive federal government,” said U.S. Chamber President and CEO Thomas Donahue. This endorsement continues the trend of job creators backing Gibbs. Gibbs has also been endorsed by the National Federation of Independent Businesses (NFIB), the Ohio Society of CPAs, the Ohio Restaurant Association, the Business Industry PAC, and the National Association of Wholesaler Distributors.
"It's an honor to receive the endorsement of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce," said Gibbs. "While our community and country lost ground while Zack Space and Nancy Pelosi ran Congress, it's my hope to continue my partnership with the innovators, business owners, and entrepreneurs in our District to encourage increased opportunity and prosperity. Only by working together can we bring about the true recovery that the hardworking people of the 18th congressional district deserve."
A January 2010 public opinion survey conducted by Harris Interactive found that Americans rank the U.S. Chamber of Commerce among the top five best-known and respected organizations in Washington.
