State Rep. Combs Named Ohio House GOP Dean

COLUMBUS— State Representative Courtney Combs (R- Hamilton) was today named the dean of the Ohio House Republican Caucus. Among his first duties is to call for a special caucus for the purpose of electing the House Majority leadership, including the new Speaker of the House. Combs has called for this election to be held on Wednesday, November 10th.

“I am honored with the privilege to serve as the dean of the House,” said Combs. “The upcoming session will be an historic one and it is important we select leaders who will take on the many challenges our great State faces.”
When the 129th General Assembly commences, Combs will be the longest continuously serving member in the Republican Caucus, as he will return to the Ohio House to serve his fifth term as the state representative of the 54th Ohio House District. He was appointed in January 2004 to fill the remaining term of Greg Jolivette.
