RELEASE: Kasich Appoints Snitchler Chairman of the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio

UNIONTOWN – Today Gov. John R. Kasich announced the appointment of Rep. Todd Snitchler (R-Uniontown) to be chairman of the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO).  Snitchler’s term will include three remaining years of former Chairman Alan Schriber’s unexpired term.  This appointment is subject to the advice and consent of the Ohio Senate.
  
In accepting this position, Snitchler will vacate his seat in the Ohio House of Representatives from the 50th District, where he has served as ranking member (128th GA) and chairman (129th GA) of the Public Utilities Committee
 
Snitchler is an attorney at the Snitchler Law Firm, LLC, and has been in private practice since 2003 representing families and small business owners.  Snitchler received his law degree from the University of Akron School of Law in 2002 and his bachelor’s degree in history and secondary education/social science from Grove City College in 1992.  Prior to attending law school, Snitchler worked in the insurance industry and earned his Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (“CPCU”) and Certified Insurance Counselor (“CIC”) designations.
