Statement from Speaker Batchelder on Appointment of Rep. Todd Snitchler as PUCO Chairman

Release:
COLUMBUS—Speaker William G. Batchelder (R-Medina) issued a statement today following the announcement by Governor Kasich that Rep. Todd Snitchler (R-Uniontown) has been appointed to serve as chairman of the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO):

“My friend and colleague Todd Snitchler has been an outstanding member of the Ohio House Republican Caucus. He has continuously served the residents of the 50th House District and the people of Ohio with great distinction. His intellect, vitality and willingness to serve have been something members of both sides of the aisle have come to greatly admire and respect. What is a loss for the House Majority Caucus is a tremendous gain for the PUCO and the people of Ohio.  I sincerely wish him and his family the very best and I look forward to working with him in this new capacity.”

Speaker Batchelder said details about a process for filling Rep. Snitchler’s House seat will be made available in the near future.
