The Enquirer is reporting that State Rep. Bill Coley is in for the race to replace State Senator Gary Cates.
He is term limited, so this would be a logical next step for him. If St. Rep. Combs stays out of the race, he would be the best bet for the pick by the Senate Republicans. The conference has a tendency to go with "experienced" insider type of picks...
Should Combs jump in to the race, this will be a bloodbath...
