On this Day, 1969....

It was one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.....Today is Apollo Moon Landing Day!

Kind of sad to think about, what with the Shuttle going bye bye. However, truly, this is probably best for the exploration of space. Now, the wheels of the free market are unloosed and we will perhaps soon be rid of the dependence on the Russians to send us to and fro. For today, however, we celebrate the mission that took us to the surface of the moon. God bless our brave astronauts, past and present! Check out this NASA gallery and remember Apollo 11 and the rest.
