From the release:
November 21, 2011

Batavia Township – Today, Nick Owens officially filed his petitions with the Clermont County Board of Elections for the 66th District of the Ohio House of Representatives. Nick Owens is running for the Republican nomination to be held on March 6th for the primary election. Nick Owens is a graduate of Batavia High School and the University of Cincinnati. Currently, Nick is in his last year of law school at the University of Dayton where he is scheduled to graduate this May. Prior to entering law school Nick Owens worked nearly five years for U.S. Representative Jean Schmidt with separate stints in her Cincinnati district and Washington, DC offices.

“Months ago when I announced my candidacy the number one issue was jobs. Unfortunately, this issue remains the same. Government does not create jobs it gets in the way of them. If elected as your state representative, I will work tirelessly for you to remove the excessive laws and regulations we have on the books in our great state that is preventing economic growth.”

“As your state representative I will not be shy to share the views we care so deeply about. Such as the common sense beliefs of lower taxes, less spending, and limited government. I will also bring new ideas and a fresh perspective to the Statehouse to get the job done from day one.”

“My message remains the same from earlier, the citizens of Clermont and Brown Counties deserve the opportunity to the live the American dream and should not have to leave the State and their loved ones to find gainful employment. It is time for Ohioans of all backgrounds to work together and put our state back in the right direction and I’m prepared to roll up my sleeves and get right to work,” stated Owens.
