Chairman DeWine on Obama’s Misguided EPA Regulations Place Ohio’s Economic Recovery at Risk

Statement: <blockquote>
COLUMBUS – Ohio Republican Party Chairman Kevin DeWine released the following statement on the December jobs announcement from the Bureau of Labor Statistics:

“While today’s national jobs numbers are certainly welcome, Barack Obama’s job-killing regulations continue to place economic recovery at risk for Ohio families, businesses and energy consumers.  Instead of restoring confidence in our economy for job creators, Barack Obama and Sherrod Brown have made it worse by supporting onerous mandates and a massive regulatory burden on the backs of Ohio-based energy producers,” said Ohio Republican Party Chairman Kevin DeWine.

“While the national economy added 200,000 jobs in December, Barack Obama’s EPA has placed more than a quarter of those jobs at risk in Ohio alone.  Sherrod Brown should join with his Republican and Democratic colleagues in the Senate to support the Fair Compliance Act (S. 1833) that would delay this job-killing regulation from taking effect,” Chairman DeWine concluded.
