COLUMBUS - Senate President Keith Faber (R-Celina)
issued the following statement in response to the report released today
by the Governor's Task Force on College Affordability and Efficiency:
"I'm
encouraged by the work this task force was able to accomplish in
identifying opportunities for our universities and colleges to reduce
costs for students.
"College
affordability continues to be a major priority of the Ohio Senate, and
these recommendations today reflect the commitment of both university
and legislative leadership to relieve the financial burden of a college
tuition through increased efficiency and productivity in our
institutions.
"I
appreciate the time, expertise and focus that my fellow task force
members devoted to this study. I look forward to working with our
colleges and universities as we review and implement changes to help our
students obtain an affordable, quality education and be successful as
they enter the workforce."
