N. Korea Thinks Clinton is Still President

North Korea says it is willing to halt its nuclear activities to get six-nation talks started again.

Pyongyang has called its offer "one more bold concession" aimed at resolving the standoff over its nuclear weapons programs.

North Korea would stop testing and producing nuclear weapons, as well as cease operating its nuclear power industry, the official North Korean state news service (KCNA) reported Tuesday.

In exchange for freezing its nuclear program, North Korea wants the United States to:

• Take Pyongyang off its terrorism list

• Lift political, economic and military sanctions

• Supply heavy oil, power and other energy resources

Matt's Chat

There is NO WAY President Bush is going to buy this crap. Fool us once, shame on you; fool us twice and it is shame on us. I don't think so...

Mark's Remarks

This is yet more evidence of why we CANNOT ALLOW a leftist liberal dimocrap to get into office this year. Because of Mr. Clinton's bungling of foreign policy and nuclear defense (namely the selling of technology for campaign contributions and wimpy negotiation skills) we are in this situation of N. Korea thinking they can dictate terms. While I do not want to see a war, we should not be supplying this repressive regime with any material. Do any of you remember the Reagan years? We shut off trade with the USSR, and what happened? They collapsed. Everyone knows that except Howard Dean. That is what we need to do here. We cannot pull a Clinton and sell out our long term security for short term expediency.
