OK, but what this article does not tell you is the 2x advantage that the liberal 527's have over the Republican Party, as evidenced by their contributions of late, as well as their spending in the past Presidential Election. As usual, the media is slanting a story so that you think those vile, corrupt, Halliburton paid off (where's my check, then?) Republicans are buying elections....What about ACT? What about (too dumb to)moveon.org? What about the 200 or so liberal 527's organized and supported by many famous lefties which raised millions more than the RNC? (cricket, cricket)
