Plame-aquiddick Justice

DJ Drummond at Wizbang:
A Republican accused of a crime can expect Justice from a D.C. jury in 2007, to about the same degree a black man accused of a crime in Alabama could expect Justice in 1907.
Sounds about right to me.

Don't get me wrong. I absolutely do not condone perjury or obstruction of justice. I didn't think that was cool when Clinton did it and I sure as heck am not changing my position now.

Put simply, I think we're going to hear about a great number of problems with the way this jury arrived at their decision and how the trial was conducted.

And, yes, I do believe Libby is a good candidate for a Presidential pardon once the appeals process runs its course. A pardon now would merely brand Libby a criminal forever without the possibility of clearing his name in a court of law. I don't think that does anybody any good.

Do I think Libby should spend time in jail? Well, I didn't think Clinton deserved to spend time in jail...
