Rawnica Update: Challenger Questions Instructions to Child Services Board

This story hit my radar earlier this week, but I just haven't had time to check it out until now. Rawnica Dillingham has questioned orders given to the Butler County Child Services Board director Mike Fox by County Commissioner Chuck Furmon. The Oxford Press picks up the story from here:
On Friday, Furmon authorized Fox to e-mail Attorney General Marc Dann's office to push the project forward with "the greatest sense of urgency."

"The Marcus Fiesel tragedy clearly shows why we need this system," Furmon said.
So, what's the problem? Dillingham claims that Furmon is "plagiarizing" her work by taking an idea that she presented to the commission in October.

My View: If Rawnica doesn't want county commissioners taking action on her ideas, perhaps she ought to stop addressing them. The way this story has been presented, it appears that Mrs. Dillingham is upset that the commission has adopted an idea she says that she gave them. Now if there was an experienced political hand in her operation, she would realize that she should have tried to assume credit for the idea while praising the action. Instead, it looks like Team Dillingham wanted to wait until after an election to take action. This was a Not-Quite-Ready-For-Prime-Time kind of mistake...Rawnica has been out front on this issue and she could have handled this situation better.
