Jon over at ThirdBasePolitics focuses on American Greeting Cards, but I want to focus on another giant from my hometown of Dayton: Mead.
Mead is a paper company that has a big building in the heart of downtown Dayton. They have merged with Westvaco out of Connecticut. Mead owns 50.2% of the new company. Westvaco gets 49.8%. The headquarters for the new company will be in CT.
Anybody care to hazard a guess as to why that is???
SIDEBAR: Like NCR, isn't Mead also in State Senator Husted's district?
