We made today's Rightometer over at Human Events (thanks Matt N.) for this post on RINOvich joining the Surrender Caucus.
Of course, the day started off with this post on RINOvich voting FOR cloture on the Shamnesty bill.
Here is a post with some links that illustrate that RINOvich's position on the war is a hit with liberal Democrats.
In this post, I predict that RINOvich will claim that he voted for it before he voted against Shamnesty.
Stay tuned to WMD for the latest on the Crying Man, our Sen. RINOvich...
UPDATE: RINOvich has lost the BizzyBlog vote...
UPDATE 2: Brian from One Oar... has an excellent idea: Petition the State Senate to subpoena the Crying Man to answer some questions that he failed to answer to his constitutents or Sean Hannity.
RINOvich embarrassed himself, the state and the party today on national radio... Nasty Brutish and Short has the initial report and I provide some reaction.
UPDATE 3: Ben Keeler called the interview a "train wreck" and his commenters are not to be missed either. One says he was so embarrassed he wants to move and the other says, "dewine = voinovich"... I think we all know what that last one was about...
UPDATE 4: Interested-Participant: "In a nutshell, metaphorically, imagine the captain of the Titanic saying, "There are no icebergs and quit listening to the radio." That was Voinovich."
UPDATE 5: K-Lo posts on the Corner: "At Least He Didn't Cry". This is NATIONAL REVIEW, people...
UPDATE 6: Mark just brought up a real good point... We've been hearing people say that they think RINOvich is going to retire. Au contraire, Mark did a fisking of a fundraising letter that RINOvich sent out back in February... He is running, folks...and he thinks he has your support. Because if you don't support him, then your just a meanie idiot who listens to too much talk radio!
UPDATE 7: Another blast from the past: RINOvich was wrong on DC Voting Rights too...
UPDATE 8: America is laughing at RINOvich
UPDATE 9: RINOvich's Plan "E" for "Exit"
UPDATE 10: Pain Dealer nominates Ham Sandwich for Senate. NixGuy points out the RINOvich isn't alone; Brown deseres some scrutiny too. Thespis Journal says the RINOvich ought to recall what happened to Mike DeWine. Right Angle Blog says that RINOvich represents "the arrogance of the pro-amnesty supporters from the President on down."
UPDATE 11: BizzyBlog has further reflections on RINOvich and what it all means...
UPDATE 12: Fairfield Republicans: "Senator Voinovich is an Embarassment to Ohio!"
UPDATE 13: FrontPageMagazine: "In the most elegant and dignified talk show appearance since Lester Maddox walked off The Dick Cavett Show, Voinovich demonstrated profound ignorance, indicted an entire communications medium, and told his constituents not to trouble their political masters." H/T: ProEcclesia
UPDATE 14: RINOvich wrong on private-investment accounts for Social Security...
The plan makes no provision for using payroll taxes to create private-investment accounts -- a measure that has been Bush's top domestic priority, but has met stiff opposition from Democrats, a lukewarm response from congressional Republicans and little voter enthusiasm.UPDATE 15: RINOvich is wrong on taxes... twice...third time's the charm... FOUR!... Do I hear "Five"? And he wants to tax the internet too...
The Bush plan, "in my opinion, is not going anywhere," Voinovich told reporters.
UPDATE 16: Rich Lowry posts an email on The Corner: "One Way to Mark the Victory - OK, that’s over with. Still, I’m going to keep calling Voinovich’s office, just for the hell of it."
